Happy Halloween everyone!
Grades are posted for the second 6 weeks. Overall everyone is doing great, but if your grade isn't where you want it to be, there will be plenty of opportunities to bring it back up before the semester is over. This week we wrapped up our entomology chapter and will begin our animal science unit. We will continue this unit until right before Thanksgiving break. Our unit test will cover entomology and animal science and will be the Thursday before break. We will also have a quiz next Friday. The animal science unit may get a little gross (learning about ruminant digestive systems and such), but it is critical to understanding our agricultural system!

Happy Friday!
Don't forget that next Tuesday will be our second exam. Please study your study guide and guided notes to help you prepare, and let me know if you have any questions. As usual, we will do test corrections for partial credit, and your test score can replace your lowest quiz score. The second half of next week we will be in the media center to complete our resume/career profiles, and then begin our chapter on environmental science and the impact of agriculture on natural ecosystems. Have a great weekend! Hey everyone, hope you are ready for a great week! We will finish up our forestry/natural resource unit this week, so be ready for a quiz on Wednesday and our Unit assessment on Friday. We will spend Thursday reviewing, so you should all be well-prepared!
It's forestry week! Forestry is the most economically important industry in Georgia, so to help us with this large topic, we will have a guest speaker from the Cobb county extension office joining us to teach us about the forest ecosystem we have behind the school. Please dress appropriately for being outside most of the class Monday and Tuesday.
