Hello everyone and welcome to Genetics Week! This week we will be starting our animal science unit, but first we need to cover some basic genetics. Depending on whether you've taken biology already, this may be completely new to you, and that's fine! The point is to get you familiar with some basic concepts in genetics so that when you DO take biology you will have some knowledge already. Keep in mind as well that this is a difficult topic, and I would much prefer to be able to teach you this in person to clear up any questions you may have. If you need help with anything this week, please send me an email and we can discuss. The first part of the assignment is to take notes and watch a couple videos. The notes are going to cover the basics of genetics, and the videos will focus more specifically on making Punnett squares, a critical concept in inheritance. We will get more practice on these later in the week. Once again, if you are struggling with this information, please let me know! Genetics is difficult and I really wish we were in the classroom. Also I just really miss you guys! Powerpoint and Notes:
